VE Day May Bank Holiday opening hours for Asda, Morrisons, Sainsburys, Aldi, Lidl and Tesco in Hartlepool

The May Day Bank Holiday has been moved from its usual Monday to Friday this year, to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day, the end of World War II in Europe.
The panic-buying kickstarted by the coronavirus lockdown is a thing of the past and supermarket shelves have more or less returned to normal.

Hide AdBut social distancing measures are still in place and many stores are still limiting the number of people allowed inside.
Here’s a look at when Hartlepool’s supermarkets will be open over the long weekend.
Stores in Hartlepool, Billingham and Peterlee will be open between 8am and 10pm on Friday and Saturday and 10am and 4pm on Sunday.
Morrisons
The store in Clarence Road will be open from 7am to 10pm on Friday and Saturday and 1-am to 4pm on Sunday.

Hide AdThe Mulberry Rise superstore will be open from 8am to 8pm on Friday, 8am to 9pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
The Murray Street and Horden local stores will be open from 6am to 11pm throughout the weekend, while the Seaton Carew, Billingham and Peterlee locals will be open between 7am and 11pm.
Tesco
The Extra store in Belle Vue Way will operate between 8am and 10pm on Friday and Saturday and 10-4pm on Sunday.
Express stores in Catcote Way and Throston Grange will be open from 6am-11pm all weekend.

Hide AdThe Billingham superstore will be open from 6am to 10pm on Friday and Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday, while the Billingham Bypress Express will operate between 6am and midnight across the weekend.
Stores in Hartlepool, Billingham and Peterlee will be open from 8am-10pm on Friday and Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
Lidl
Hartlepool stores will be open from 8am to 8pm on Friday, 8am to 10pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
Marks & Spencer
The Hartlepool store will be open from 8.30am-8pm on Friday, 8.30am to 7pm on Saturday and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday.
