Who is your star performer in the NHS? Hospital bosses seek nominations for their People’s Choice award

The Shining Stars accolades are the annual staff awards at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.

This year the Trust will be celebrating holding the awards for the eighth time – and they need patients to play their part.

The People’s Choice award allows members of the public nominate a doctor, nurse or support worked for exceptional treatment they feel they have been provided with.

This award will be presented to a team or individual who constantly strive to deliver better care for the people of North Tees and Hartlepool.

A spokesman for the Trust said: “The member of staff will be utterly brilliant at what they do and will make a difference on a daily basis to service users, patients and members of staff.

“This could include developing new ideas or improved ways of working, or providing exceptional levels of support.

“We know that healthcare workers go above and beyond every single day and quite often, they simply don’t have the time to stop and reflect on just how brilliant they are and the contribution they are making.

“This event makes recognising their efforts possible, and this year the Trust is hoping patients will get involved to help those stars shine.”

He added: “The judges will be particularly looking for evidence of them making a positive impact on services, providing high quality services, improved ways of working and providing exceptional levels of support.”
