And thanks to a helping hand from the excellent Hartlepool Museum Service and Hartlepool Library Service, we can share this nostalgic photos of 9 buildings which once adorned the town skyline.
Some were streets which made way for the Middleton Grange Shopping Centre. Others were grand homes, and some were prefab buildings were built after the Second World War.

1. Tunstall Court

2. St Hilda's Hospital
