It’s true and you could find it in Lynn Street in decades gone by.
There were plenty of others fine trades which were going strong in the street back in its heyday, such as clothes shops, a furniture store and a coffee bar.
Lynn Street was a hive of activity and just look at the queues for the butchers shop in one of the photos in this retro collection which comes to us courtesy of the Hartlepool Museum Service and Hartlepool Library Service.
