A feast of memories from Hartlepool village festival in 1993

Do you remember where you were in 1993? John Major was Prime Minister, Take That were ruling the charts and One Foot in the Grave was a TV hit.

It was also another good year for Greatham Feast in the summer, a tradition which dates back over 500 years.

People turned out in force in the village for fun fancy dress, games, bonny baby competition and glamorous grandmother contest.

See if these old Mail photos of the event spark any happy memories for you.
