It’s Healthy Eating Week and that gives us a chance to reflect on the time when all these pupils were pictured tucking in to tasty food.

From Grange to Eldon Grove primary schools and Stranton to St Helens,Hartlepool and County Durham has been a leader in nutritious meals for years as these photos show.
Healthy Eating Week is held by the British Nutrition Foundation and is encouraging people to be as healthy as they can.
We think it is a great time to scour the Hartlepool Mail archives for great pictures with a food theme.
We have even got Captain Carrot on a visit to Brougham Primary Centre in 2007.
