1. Bonfire Night
Nick Lee said: "Bonfire night. Collecting things to burn for a couple of weeks before and then running home from school to build the bonfire on the field opposite where I lived with all my friends. That field was our playground all year round."

3. Binns cafe
Sharon Shadforth said: "Binns cafe, on the top floor with my gran. Thinking I was posh because you got a cup and saucer with a side plate of cake, with a little fork."
4. The wonder of Woolworths
Tim Brown said: "Walking into town as a kid, going passed much-missed shops. Fred Lumsdens, Wilf Spence, Aggio's, Goodall Lewis, Frank Wrights. Then into town for the market, Lown's, Whittakers, Pools Surplus Stores and Woolies."
