All of these images have remained in the possession of Ian Muller, 76, who grew up in Duke Street in Hartlepool.

One shows Ian and his best friend Tony Newton, both smartly dressed on a very important day. Ian explained: “It was taken in 1948 in Duke Street Hartlepool just as we were about to start at Jesmond Road Infant School.”

Another shows Ian in 1955 at the Ist West Hartlepool Boys Brigade Camp at Eggleston Camp. Ian explained: “It used to happen every year in the camp grounds at Eggleston Hall which was owned by Sir William Gray.”

Another photo is a 1930s coach trip to Blackpool and Jesmond Road School’s successful football team is pictured in 1951, with Ian’s brother Bryn in the side. Other team photos from 1952 and 1955 are also included.

A further photo shows the Richardson Westgarth (Hartlepool) apprentice training school in 1959.

Do they bring back memories and can you spot anyone you recognise?

A 1972 family photo in Ward Jackson Park is also part of the selection. Ian hopes some of the photos may bring back memories for other people as well and he would love to hear from anyone who can help identify some of the faces.
