Hartlepool Borough Council has launched a bid to bring the event to its marina once more in 2023 following the success of the event in 2010.
And here’s a reminder of some of the fun we had the last time the tall ships spectacle was in town.
As well as ships, there were demonstrations, celebrity visits (including Mr Motivator), and the crew parade.
Who can forget the scenes as the magnificent vessels arrived in the days ahead of the official event.
Or the way the whole town from Seaton to the Headland was affected, with fairs, live shows and more.
As we cross our fingers and wish Hartlepool’s 2023 bid success, here’s a reminder of the amazing scenes our town saw ten years ago.
