Okay, so you probably danced the night away in them, savoured a good pint or bought clothes in them.

But which of these Hartlepool nightspots, stores, wine bars, pubs and bus stations was best for a bite to eat?

Was it the spot where you could get chicken and chips in a basket? The bus station where a bacon bun was perfect.

The club which did a roaring trade in scampi, or the superstore which was expert at gravy and chips? We have them all in this reminder of times gone by.

Visions was a real Hartlepool favourite. Are we right in thinking it had a restaurant called Valentino's upstairs where the carbonara was a must?
