The town has lots of connections to the singing festival which returns on May 18 with the first semi-final in Holland.
The second follows on May 20 before the grand final on May 22.
Eurovision has been part of our television lives since 1956 and the UK first won in 1967 with Puppet On A String sung by Sandie Shaw.
But Hartlepool can proudly boast plenty of connections to the competition. Take a look.
