We are talking about the Saxon pub in Hartlepool and it is back in the news this week.

The Hartlepool Mail told how plans were approved for a vacant unit at the shopping parade at the former Saxon pub site in Easington Road to be converted into a bar, which would also offer food.

But let’s not forget the pub which stood on the site for years and which was the favourite local for many people.
