Taking a wander around West View over the years in 17 retro pictures from the Hartlepool Mail archive

The West View area has been a key part of the town since Hartlepool expanded in the late 1940s.

The estate grew to accommodate families moving away from older industrial areas with new housing, schools, churches and community centres built.

These pictures from the archive capture life there from the 1990s to the mid 2010s.
