The Hartlepool project which is helping to feed children in the Dyke House area at half term
The Annexe community centre in Dyke House has provided extra support for families during half term.
And it was made possible thanks to big-hearted donations from a new Hartlepool business called Hartlepool Eats, as well as Asda and The Dyke House Big Local Partnership.

during school holidays for a long time by providing parcels of ambient food which can be easily converted into simple meals for a child’s lunch.
"We didn’t think that we were going to be able to do it this half term, but thanks to donations from Hartlepool Eats, Asda and the Dyke House Big Local Partnership we’ve been able to produce over 50 substantial food bags for families in Dyke House.”
Jake Wiley from Hartlepool Eats – which is a food ordering app – said: “During lockdown, I noticed that Facebook was flooded with supportive posts about how it was more critical now than ever before to shop local and support local, and I started to wonder if there was a way to help the town in a bigger way than just switching from multi-national chains to local ones, and that is where Hartlepool Eats came in.”
