The Place in the Park in Ward Jackson Park has put on a frighteningly good display with singing witches, skeletons, monsters, mummies and clowns, and lots of decorated cakes.

Manager Maria Seymour said she did not want the year to pass without children being able to get into the Halloween spirit.

She said: “The effort that has gone in has been so well appreciated as many people are calling in to see the decorations with their children.

"It’s lovely to see their faces and reactions. Just one of the things we felt we can do to give some form of normality to what’s been a trying few months for the majority of people.”

The coffee shop also has goodie bags and a wide selection of decorations for sale.
