Boris Johnson has outlined a four-step plan to reopen different elements of society, with a phased reopening of the country including a number of key dates.
Step Two – which will be implemented no earlier then April 12 – will see the reopening of pubs and restaurants outdoors.
To celebrate, we’ve rounded up some of Hartlepool’s beer gardens we can look forward to for drinks in the sun. Check with individual pubs closer to the time for reopening details and exact opening times.
5. O' Malley's Irish Pub
O' Malley's Irish Pub in Church square has a beer garden just outside the front of the pub. Drinks can once again be enjoyed in the sun from April.

6. Ward Jackson Pub, Church Street
Owned by Ralph Ward-Jackson the Wetherspoons pub was named after his ancestor. The venue has recently undergone work to convert the car park at the back of the Ward Jackson Pub into an extended beer garden.

7. The Greenside, Stockton Road
The Greenside is near Hartlepool town centre and just a short drive from Seaton seafront and promenade. The Marston's pub also has an outdoor play area to keep the kids busy.

8. The White House, Wooler Road
This pub is a favourite for family meals and night time drinks with mates. Hopefully the beer garden will be up and running on April 12.
