The Hartlepool group which is stepping up its support yet again for the town's isolated and hungry
The Poolie Time Exchange has ‘not stopped giving’ vital help to people who need meals ever since the first lockdown began but officials say the support is increasing once again during the latest restrictions.
Group co-ordinator Stephen Picton said: “We established that certain people were falling through the cracks.

The group provides 150 meals which go to the St Aidan’s Church Kitchen on a Thursday, 100 which go to the Holy Trinity Church foodbank on a Friday and the rest is delivered.
Stephen added: “We have volunteer drivers on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
"During this lockdown, we have stepped the support up. There are a lot of people in the town, mostly the elderly, who might not have access to online shopping or they might not have any family. They are the type of people we are getting in.”
