Talented youngsters at ‘Dance World by Kellyanne Stevens’ are being given a weekly video challenge while they are in lockdown.

And one of the most recent asked them to find the craziest place in their house to do the splits – while catching a toilet roll and throwing it on to the next person.

Here are the superb results and dance school owner Kellyanne Stevens said: “This deathly virus is very worrying. However at Dance World as a team, we believe ‘less worry and more of doing what we love’ is the way forward.

“All of my online lessons are free and I love to see both pupils and parents having fun with the photos and videos they send me; they are accessing their on line classes each lesson and loving it.”

The restrictions imposed by the coronavirus are putting restrictions on dance schools all over the country and Kellyanne added: “When the shutter went down, the children were devastated but understood the reason why we all had to stay at home and keep safe.

“They were reassured I would be continuing to teach them for the foreseeable future, just in a different way.

“I have managed to create an online timetable of eight classes per week. General dance classes are ballet, tap, flexibility, strength & stretch and my toddler class.

“I teach my Zumba Fitness class at intermediate level so the younger pupils have fun with it and the eldest pupils and parents of the school have a really good fitness work out.

“Me and my husband Daniel also do fun cardio fitness Friday workouts. We go live on my Dance World instagram account from our garden which is for all Dance World Instagram followers.

“I also had quite a challenge re-arranging my furniture in living room to create a good amount of space to teach live from my living room as I teach full out in order to be able to teach the kids myself - yes that includes every sit up, every kick and every pirouette!”

All in all, the coronavirus has led to challenges but a positive response from Danceworld.
