The property website has revealed its most searched-for postcodes in the region during 2020 – with DL15, which covers Crook, topping the list.
Other areas featuring in the top 10 include Chester-le-Street, Hartlepool and Guisborough.
1. DL15
The most-searched for postcode in the region in 2020 was DL15, which includes Crook town centre and has an average house price of £119,770. The current England average is £262,000.

The second most-searched-for postcode was DH3, Chester-Le-Street, which includes Lumley Castle and where the average house price is £166,100.

Third in the list is DH1, covering Durham and Durham Cathedral, with an average house price of £220,851.

Fourth on the list is DH4, Houghton Le Spring, home of the Houghton Feast. The average house price in DH4 is £143,295.
