The schools may have returned and life for many is ‘getting back to normal’, but there is always the hope that September can bring an ‘Indian Summer’ of fine weather for the weekends.

Today’s photographic trip down Memory Lane shows people enjoying the beaches of Hartlepool and Seaton Carew in glorious sunshine.

There is very little detail attached to the pictures, so it would be great if readers could help.

If you recognise anyone in the pictures then we would love to hear from you.

Let’s now hope for some good weather so we can continue to enjoy the wonderful coastline on our doorstep before the autumn and winter sets in, and it is back to coats for those bracing walks to take in the fresh air.

Anyone with details on the pictures should email chris.cordner@jpress.co.uk
