Anthony said: “I am giving myself two months to train for this challenge and will be setting up a Just Giving page. I will also have a sponsor form in Fruit Fayre in Hartlepool where I work.”

He did the run in his spare time after his job of supplying the people of Hartlepool with daily fruit and veg from Fruit Fayre in Oxford Road where he works as a delivery driver.

He described it as the ‘best experience of my life’ but now he is already back in training to raise even more money.

He is starting with 10k runs but soon plans to run two miles four or five times a day as he builds up to his target of running three miles every hour in the days before the 100k challenge.

Miles For Men founder Micky Day praised him for his support, he said: “It was a great achievement by Anthony and he went out in all weathers.”

He thanked Anthony for his ‘continued support’.
