The Hartlepool man who plans to run 100k in one day for Miles for Men

But now he has revealed his latest aim which is to run 100 kilometres in one day.

Hide AdHe plans to start at midnight on Sunday, May 16 and finish at midnight. By the end of it, he expects to have covered around 62 miles to support the town charity Miles For Men.
Anthony said: “I am giving myself two months to train for this challenge and will be setting up a Just Giving page. I will also have a sponsor form in Fruit Fayre in Hartlepool where I work.”
He did the run in his spare time after his job of supplying the people of Hartlepool with daily fruit and veg from Fruit Fayre in Oxford Road where he works as a delivery driver.

Hide AdAnthony, 39, also fitted in boot camp sessions from Monday to Thursday each week with the help of Steven Smith from the Body Doctors at Seaton Carew.
He described it as the ‘best experience of my life’ but now he is already back in training to raise even more money.
He is starting with 10k runs but soon plans to run two miles four or five times a day as he builds up to his target of running three miles every hour in the days before the 100k challenge.
Miles For Men founder Micky Day praised him for his support, he said: “It was a great achievement by Anthony and he went out in all weathers.”
He thanked Anthony for his ‘continued support’.

Hide AdThat first run attracted 1,000 runners and raised more than £40,000. The charity is now approaching £500,000 of funds donated to those most in need, raised by members of the public such as Anthony.
