With pubs having later opening hours, the prospect of paying an entry fee for a late drink and a dance is not as popular as it used to be.

Some towns, in fact, do not have a single night club in the traditional sense of the phrase any more.

Hartlepool and the surrounding area has never been spoilt for choice when it comes to night life.

Some clubs would also become home to teenage discos as well.
