A patient had to be air lifted to hospital following an incident in Billingham


Emergency crews were called to Billingham today to a road traffic incident.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called to the Wolviston Road and Rievaulx Avenue area at 3.45pm today.
A spokesman said one person has been airlifted to James Cook University Hospital.
The condition of the injured person is not yet known and police had the road closed.
