Absolutely fabulous

We were called The Absolute.

There are (left to right): Graeme Aves, guitar, Dave Morgan, bass, Chris Smith, drums, Mark McDonald, vocals, and sitting is Simon Pooley, keyboards.

We wrote most of our own material and played all over the North East and Yorkshire.

In 1990 we played a national battle of the bands competition which was held in Bradford.

We came a credible sixth out of 210 bands.

I left the band and joined Hartlepool’s one and only The Passion Killers.

The rest of the band are still together.

They are still playing as The Flying Oysters.
