Jordan Richards: Couple of decent deliveries but had a long and hard night at the back. 6

Adam Jackson: Tough night for central defenders against a relentless home attack. Found it hard. 5

Scott Harrison: See above. At fault for Accrington’s match-clinching third. 5

Jake Carroll: Tried to get forward but, like his fellow defenders, found himself overworked. 6

Rhys Oates: One good first-half run aside provided little out wide. 5

Nicky Featherstone: The central midfield role in a 4-4-2 does not seem to suit the stand-in skipper, looks more comfortable in a 4-3-3. 5

Michael Woods: Powered forward once from the middle of the park in the first half but otherwise quiet. 5

Nathan Thomas: After the promise of Saturday’s debut came a tame display. Like Oates on the right, offered little on the left and was subbed. 5

Ellis Harrison: Unlucky not to score on his debut when he hit the post with a header in the first half. Some encouraging moments, has a bit of pace and power. 6

Scott Fenwick: Received little service from those behind him and what ball he got he was unable to force anything. 6

SUBS:

Rakish Bingham (for Fenwick 61): Pools’ brightest outfield player. Brilliant finish for his goal and denied a clear penalty. 7

Lewis Hawkins (for Thomas 61): Played his part in Pools’ best spell of game. Positive performance. 6

Jake Gray (for Woods 63): See Hawkins. Gray got on the ball and got Pools going forward. 6
