Act to avoid road tragedy
It was a huge relief when measures were put in place to deter drivers from carrying out u-turns on the A179, near the A19 slip roads.
This was necessary because of the irresponsible behaviour of a few, which resulted in terrible tragedies.
The central barrier, which carries on past the A19 north-bound slip road, has been very successful.

Hide AdHowever, just recently, drivers joining the A179 from the A19 (north-bound) have begun turning left at the junction, then completing a u-turn before heading back towards Hart.
I have witnessed this happening at around 7.30am.
The roads can be quite busy at this time, particularly when the weather is bad.
Perhaps the situation could be monitored again before another family loses a loved one.
