Arson investigation launched after barn blaze at Hartlepool farm

A huge barn fire attended by multiple crews is being treated as arson by Cleveland Police.

An investigation is underway following the incident, which took place at Thorpe Bulmer Farm in Hart Village, Hartlepool, on the Sunday, March 29 at around 11pm.

Crews remained on site for days as the fire continued, with Cleveland Police today – Thursday, April 2 – calling for members of the public to come forward with information.

Officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously or any vehicles in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.

The barn, and the items inside, suffered “substantial damage” in the blaze.
