Call for nominations in Hartlepool Civic Society awards
Hartlepool Civic Society is calling on people to put forward worthy projects for its annual presentation night.
Last year town firm Utility Alliance received a certificate for the refurbishment and illumination of Tranquillity House on the Marina, improving the environment.

Hide AdAnd residents of 9-14 Cliff Terrace on the Headland were presented with certificates and the Rosebowl Trophy for achieving their long-term goal to restore the railings in front of their homes.
A civic society spokesman said: “The society is seeking nominations from the general public for its Annual Awards.
“The Awards Scheme gives owners, designers, craftsmen. etc - an opportunity to showcase their projects, which in turn enhance the town and the villages.
“A nomination can be of a new building eithr private or public, or a conservation project, environmental improvement, renovation project, etc.

Hide Ad“After receiving the nominations, the Committee looks at all the projects and decides which of them should receive recognition by way of certificates and trophies at a function later in the year.
“Previous winners include the Restored Railings on the Headland, Mosaic Panels at Ward Jackson Park, new house Stockton Road, Greatham Community Centre renovation project, the wild flowers, and the Poster Panels at the Railway Station.”
