Pools looked set for their first away win since a 1-0 victory at Dagenham & Redbridge in mid-October when Jake Gray's fourth goal of the season put Pools ahead 19 minutes from time.

Michael Woods put the midfielder in to beat man of the match Will Norris from 12 yards.

Pools defended well with Jake Carroll making two good blocks late on but they could not hold out with Ben Williamson beating Trevor Carson in the last minute of normal time.

"It was hard to take," said Moore.

"We should have been out of sight with the chances we had - their keeper made good saves, he was man of the match.

"But you always know at 1-0 they will launch it.

“Their goal was disappointing, we had three men going for one ball in the box and itr dropped for them.

"I don't think we deserved that - we're gutted we didn’t win, but a point is a good one."

Ellis Harrison had three good chances and hit the post for the second game in a row while he was denied by keeper Norris and defender Leon Legge.

Norris also made three vital saves from Gray.

"We should have won it, but the pleasing thing is we didn’t lose it," added Moore.

The one black spot on the day for Pools was an injury to loan signing Harrison.

He was injured in a collision with Lewis Page just after the half-hour.

“Ellis is on crutches, he'll probably be out two or three weeks," said Moore.
