Charity puts call out to cake-lovers
The charity is calling on everyone to join in celebrating its first ever Cupcake Day on Thursday, June 16, in association with woman&home.
There are 3,399 people living with dementia in the Hartlepool and Stockton area.

Hide AdIn a bid to support these people, the charity surveyed 2,000 people to find out what their ultimate dream cupcake would be – choosing their flavour in three categories: cake, filling and topping.
The top flavours voted for in the North East were a carrot cake base with a chocolate topping, and decorated with cream.
Nationally the top flavours voted for were chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate.
Hannah Woodworth, Dementia Support Worker for the Alzheimer’s, said: “We are calling on cake-lovers to get involved and join our cupcake crusade.

Hide Ad“Whether you want to hold a cupcake sale or simply indulge in a tasty treat, everything you do to support Cupcake Day on June 16 will help the 35,000 people across the region who are living with dementia.
“Whether you bake, sell or simply buy a cupcake, join the cupcake crusade to raise money and help us defeat dementia. Every cupcake counts.”
