Comedian Patrick Monahan set for Hartlepool visit after sell-out run in Edinburgh

A COMEDIAN will bring humour to Hartlepool as he visits following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival.

Stand-up comic Patrick Monahan will perform at the Town Hall Theatre on Saturday, March 7, with his brand new family show Adventures in Monahan land.

The loveable Irish/Iranian Teessider blends a high energy comedy style with hilarious and engaging topical and observational material, with the evening to promise plenty of audience interaction.

Last year Patrick took part in the hit ITV family entertainment series Splash! and appeared on the brand new series of Celebrity Squares.

He was also seen on ITV’s Fake Reaction, CBBC’s 12 Again Fox’s Man Up and hosted Sky’s Jongleurs Live!

Other appearances have included Daybreak, Loose Women and Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff.

He is the winner of Best Newcomer at the Loaded LAFTA Awards and Forth Radio Best Stand-Up People’s Choice Award for his hit show ‘Hug Me I Feel Good’.

Patrick is also a regular MC and headlining act at the top London and UK comedy clubs and is in huge demand on the corporate circuit as an after-dinner speaker and awards host.

“A definite must see” is how the Edinburgh Festivals Magazine rated his performances, while The Scotsman said “Monahan is a supremely engaging performer, adored by his audiences and capable of some terrific comedy.”

The show, which will have cabaret-style seating, starts at 8pm and tickets cost £12.
