Costa Coffee plans for Hartlepool drive-thru not to everyone's taste

People have given a mixed reaction to plans to create a drive-through Costa Coffee in Hartlepool.

Planning permission for the new drive-through outlet has been granted at the Vision Retail Park, formerly Highlight Retail Park, off Marina Way.

Owners M Seven real estate company is refurbishing the 65,000 sq ft retail units, upgrading the terrace frontage and landscaping and improving the car park.

People have had their say on the plans on the Mail’s Facebook page.

Peter Twidale stated: “If this town got granted a billion pounds to spend on what they wanted, people on here would still complain about something.

“Be happy man, would you rather see somewhere derelict or a place creating revenue for the town and creating more jobs?”

“I can’t believe we have three supermarkets, three.”
