Court Round-up: From burning a woman's clothes to stealing from Matalan

Shaun Amerigo, 28, of Southgate, was found guilty of arson after setting fire to clothes belonging to Rebecca Llewellyn.

Amerigo was ordered to pay compensation of £200 and costs of £85.

Daryl Brown, 23, of Hartley Street, was found guilty of trespassing and theft of copper piping and fittings.

He was ordered to pay £48 compensation and £40 costs.

Owen Davies, 18, of Fens Crescent, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Victoria Road in Hartlepool.

He was fined £110, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Graham Denwood, 64, of Queensway, Billingham, was given an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months and was disqualified from driving for 30 months.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80 and costs of £85.

Robert Paul Green, 30, of Stockton Road, was given a six-month conditional discharge after being found guilty of stealing £22.57-worth of items from Necitas coffee shop.

He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £25.

Jeffrey Dylan Mincher, 18, of Allerton Close, was found guilty of stealing lager to the value of £6.99 from Powlett Mini Market.

He was ordered to pay compensation of £6.99 and costs of £85.

Chantelle Collins, 31, of Store Terrace, Easington Lane, Houghton-le-Spring, was found guilty of stealing £267-worth of children’s clothes from Matalan in Marina Way, Hartlepool.

She was given a curfew order and was ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
