Pools put in a dominant display against Woking, putting the game to bed thanks a trio from their rampant front three - Devante Rodney, Jake Cassidy and Rhys Oates - in the first 45 minutes.

It was their first win since November 21 and their first on a Saturday at the Vic since September.

After all that has gone on in the last few weeks, with Poolies effectively keeping the club afloat since Christmas, Harrison says he is over the moon the fans have now seen his side win again.

“It’s a good feeling,” said the manager in the aftermath of the 3-2 victory.

“The important thing is scoring three times and could have had more. In the end, we didn’t quite finish them off, but it proved enough.

“I’m pleased to get a win, the fans have endured a lot of tough times in the last few weeks, but responded by supporting us.

“The fund-raising has been fantastic, snowballed to the point where everyone should be proud of helping their club stay afloat for the last two months.

“And for them I think we put on an entertaining game. It had three goals and five, six, seven other chances. On another day I think we could have scored seven or eight.

“In the past we have got one and it’s not been enough. Today we got three and we got over the line.

“We got on with it this week and the lads can definitely be pleased with their display for the fans.”
