Arrest after death of man found with serious injuries

Cleveland Police said officers had been called to a house in Stockton this morning, where the man was declared dead at the scene.

A man who was arrested at the scene is still being held by detectives.

A force spokeswoman confirmed details: “Emergency services were called to an address on Ketton Road in Stockton just after 10.15am today, Monday February 17.

“On arrival, a man was discovered inside the house. He had suffered serious injuries and he was sadly confirmed deceased.

“A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident and he remains in police custody awaiting questioning.

“A cordon is in place and officers remain in the area conducting inquiries.

“We would ask anyone with information to contact Cleveland Police via the 101 number, quoting Event 26531.”
