Earlier that day , at around 9.30am, police received reports of up to 50 cyclists on the Saltburn seafront on a joint ride. They were advised on Covid-19 restrictions.

Cleveland Police say they recognise the majority of people are doing what they can to abide by Government advice, and appeal to people to follow national guidance during the pandemic to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.

Gatherings of people, such as house parties and group sporting activities, are prohibited to limit the spread of coronavirus.
