Assault, obstructing a PC and motoring offences: 10 defendants appear before magistrates

Lorraine Griffiths, 58, of Boswell Grove, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer. She was fined £100 and ordered to pay £150 in compensation.

Shannon Alderson, 21, of Baden Street, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to obstructing a police officer. She was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £21 surcharge.

Alexander Bolton, 36, of Stotfold Street, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance and two charges of driving with excess drugs. He was given a 12-month community order and banned from driving for 12 months. He was ordered to pay £80 costs and a £90 surcharge.

Andrew Scott Bateman, 28, of Carlton Avenue, Billingham, pleaded guilty to sending offensive messages. He was given a jail sentence of six weeks, suspended for 12 months, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £122 surcharge.

Kieran Coyle, 59, of Gilside Road, Billingham, was fined £150 after pleading guilty to driving with excess alcohol. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge. He was banned from driving for 12 months.

Martin Forster, 40, of Shakespeare Avenue, Blackhall, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol. He was fined £300 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge. He was banned from driving for 18 months.

Chloe Gaskill, 20, of Stephen Street, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to two charges of assaulting a police officer. She was given a 12-month community order and told to pay £400 in compensation and £40 costs.

James Garthwaite, 67, of Paignton Drive, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to assault. He was given an 18-month community order and told to pay £85 costs and a £90 surcharge.

Andrew Colin Usher, 55, of Barbara Mann Court, Hartlepool, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after he admitted dialing 999 with a non emergency call when banned for doing so. He also admitted breaching a suspended sentence order. He was ordered to pay a £21 surcharge.

Jacob Scott, 24, of Ambleton Road, Hartlepool, was given a 12-month community order after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £90 surcharge and was banned from driving for 34 months.
