Assaulting police, drug driving and theft: Hartlepool defendants who appeared in court

Michael James Reed, 30, of Houghton Street, Hartlepool, was fined £150 after he pleaded guilty to criminal damage when he broke a window at Jax Bar in Middleton Grange Shopping Centre. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Jonathan Robert Bee, 34, of Ellary Walk, Hartlepool, admitted two charges of assaulting a police officer. He was given a 12-month community order and told to pay £150 in compensation and £85 costs.

Georgie Duffield, 29, of Moffat Road, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to taking a Land Rover without the owner’s consent, which was found damaged, and driving with excess alcohol. He was given a 12-month community order with 140 hours of unpaid work and ordered to pay £5,000 in compensation. He was banned from driving for 18 months.

Gary Taylor, 46, of Church Street, Hartlepool, was jailed for 20 weeks, suspended for 12 months, after he admitted entering Premier Store, Andrew Street, as a trespasser and stealing alcohol and chocolate. He was ordered to pay compensation of £1,790.

Rachel Fleming, 21, of Faraday Street, Ferryhill, was fined £220 when it was proven in absence that she travelled on a train without paying the fare. She was ordered to pay £3.50 in compensation, £150 costs and a £32 surcharge.

William George Stamper, 36, of St Anne’s Court, Hartlepool, was fined £240 for breaching a supervision order.

Lisa Wallace, 45, of Pope Grove, Hartlepool, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after she admitted possession of a class A drug. She was also ordered to pay a £20 surcharge.

Ian Paul Bradley, 34, of Ryan Court, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to failing to stop after an accident. He was fined £162 and ordered to pay costs of £200 and a £32 surcharge. He was also given seven penalty points.

Henry John Tyers, 41, of Seaton Lane, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to drug driving, driving without insurance and without a licence. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay a £32 surcharge. He was banned from driving for 12 months.

Stephen Michael Vaughan, 32, of Braemar Road, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to possession of a class B drug. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £32 surcharge.

Andrea Langley, 53, of Cornwall Street, Hartlepool, was jailed for 18 weeks after she admitted two charges of theft, failing to surrender to custody and breaching a suspended sentence order. She was ordered to pay £180 in compensation.
