Officers in Hartlepool arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of a burglary early today, Thursday, September 10, as they investigated a report of a break-in.

Officers from CID gained entry to a property in the town and arrested a man who was attempting to hide beneath a pile of clothes and a suitcase.

Detective Constable Steve Ridsdale said: “If the team are looking for you, we will find you.”
