Officers discovered and dismantled the farm in a property in Tennyson Avenue, off Oxford Road, with plants recovered from every room and also executed a drugs warrant at another address.

During the raid, they identified a potential fire risk from electrical wiring in the property and ensured that it will be dealt with.

Cannabis farms often put neighbouring properties at risk as those running them attempt to adapt the electrical supply to suit their needs.

Just after midday on Tuesday, July 21, a drugs warrant was executed at Rydal Street, based on local intelligence. On this occasion no arrests were made but enquiries continue.

Anyone concerned about drugs and associated crime should report it on 101.
