Cannabis plants worth £150,000 seized in raid on Hartlepool property

A large cannabis farm containing around £150,000 worth of plants has been discovered by police officers in Hartlepool.

Acting on intelligence from members of the public, Hartlepool’s Community Safety Neighbourhood Policing Team uncovered the farm at an address on the town’s Mitchell Street on Friday, December 4.

In a statement shared to its social media channels on Saturday, December 5, the force confirmed that an estimated £150,000 worth of plants and associated equipment were recovered from the property.

A man was also arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and is currently helping officers with inquiries while the investigation continues.
