A car has been seized and a man arrested in connection with a series of suspected offences after police stopped him on a Hartlepool street.

Hartlepool Neighbourhood Policing Team took the 20-year-old into custody after officers decided to ask a black Volkswagen Jetta to stop on Everett Street, having spotted in earlier in Murray Street.

He was arrested on suspicion of driving without insurance, a valid licence and on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drugs, with inquiries ongoing following the check on Sunday, November 8.
