Cleveland Police appeal for help to identify XL Bully and owner after attack on another dog in Hartlepool
Police are appealing to trace an XL Bully dog and its owner after an attack on another dog in Hartlepool.
A couple were walking their Staffordshire Bull Terrier on Hartfields, between Cranesbill Avenue and Easington Road (A179) at around 10.20am on Monday, December 8, when a man walking an XL Bully walked past.
Police say the XL Bully grabbed the Staffy by the neck. The XL Bully owner reportedly did nothing to stop it and the owner of the smaller dog had to prize the Bully off.
The Staffy suffered some injuries, but nothing life threatening.

The Bully dog is described as white with black spots and was wearing a green collar with a silver chain attached. The owner is described as white, 6ft 2in tall and medium build. He was wearing dark clothing and had his hood up over his head.
