“We’ve collated intelligence and information and today is the result of two warrants that were issued by the magistrates’ court under section 23 of the misuse of drugs act.

"The first address we gained entry to, we did recover what we believe to be suspected class B and a male is now assisting with enquiries in relation to that.

“The second address which we executed within the next hour where we have got a potential animal welfare issue so we are liaising with the RSPCA before we stand down, the welfare of the animal comes first at this point.”

The information was gained through ‘Operation Phoenix’ which is a summer-long campaign which is now into its fifth week.

The aim of the campaign is to improve public service, prioritise vulnerability, tackle serious violence and prevent crime.

PC Coggin added: "We continue to push [Operation Phoenix] as a resilient neighbourhood team and it’s something we've been running all summer long so if you have any information, get in touch with your local authorities and we’ll take what action we need to do.”
