Cleveland Police issue appeal after man, 20, assaulted near Hartlepool train station

A man was taken to hospital after being found unconscious following an assault near Hartlepool train station.

The 20-year-old victim was found injured on Church Street in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, August 31.

Police have issued an appeal for information or footage and want to trace a man and a woman in connection with the incident.

Cleveland Police stated: “The 20-year-old was found unconscious and injured on Church Street in Hartlepool at around 2.20am, and taken to hospital.

“Police are looking for two suspects, a man and a woman. The man is described as wearing a long sleeved light blue Hugo Boss jumper and dark trousers, and the woman is described as having dark hair and wearing glasses, and wearing a chequered blazer, grey trousers and black sandals.”

Anyone with information, and anyone with CCTV or dashcam, is asked to contact Police on 101, quoting SE24167817.
