“As a charity that helps people speak up about what they know whilst guaranteeing complete anonymity, we’re urging anyone with information about Scott to contact us.

“Someone, indeed a number of people, may be aware of the circumstances and yet, to date, have stayed silent.

“No family should have to be kept in the dark or unable to find some form of closure when a loved one has disappeared in such circumstances.”

For more than 32 years, Crimestoppers has been taking information about crime anonymously, helping to bring justice to families, protect vulnerable children and adults and stop crime.

The charity is aware that for some people, speaking directly to the police or authorities is not an option or they are reluctant to do so for a number of reasons.

Ruth said: “Even if you think your information is insignificant, it could make all the difference.

“Everyone stays 100% anonymous. Always.”
