Hartlepool Neighbourhood Officers discovered crossbow bolts lodged into owl nesting boxes at Summerhill Country Park following reports of people acting suspiciously.

Neighbourhood Officers from Hartlepool Community Safety Team were called to Summerhill Country Park, off Catcote Road in Hartlepool over the weekend, February 20 after reports of people acting suspiciously close to bird nesting boxes.

Officers found two crossbow bolts lodged into owl nesting boxes and are now appealing for information.
