Danger driver awaits fate for smashing into garden wall in Hartlepool after police pursuit

A dangerous driver who crashed into a garden wall will be sentenced next month.

James Flounders smashed a Vauxhall Vectra car into the wall of a property in Kingsley Avenue, Hartlepool, on September 2 last year.

He pleaded guilty to offences of aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving and having no licence or third party insurance when he appeared at Teesside Crown Court on Wednesday, August 19.

The dangerous driving occurred on Masefield Road, Kingsley Avenue and roads in between read the charge.

It collided with the garden wall a short time later.

Flounders, 29, of Kendal Road, Hartlepool, was granted unconditional bail until he returns to court to be sentenced on Friday, September 18.

Judge Deborah Sherwin ordered a pre-sentence report and imposed an interim driving ban with the length to be decided on the next occasion.
