Cleveland Police were called to Marina Way at around 11am on Tuesday, November 26, to the incident which saw a black Ford C-MAX car crash into the barriers of the central reservation.

The collision took place on the carriageway heading into the town centre but the road remained open while emergency services dealt with the scene.

No one was injured and the vehicle was removed by 12pm.

The crash was the second to have taken place in a matter of hours along the same stretch of road in the town.

Police were called to Highpoint Retail Park, Hartlepool, at 11.20am following a crash involving a white van and a cyclist.

The teenage cyclist was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
