Drug driving, obstructing police and other recent Hartlepool court cases

The following cases from the Hartlepool area were dealt with recently at Teesside Magistrates’ Court:

Adam Grieves, 21, of Monksfield, Billingham, was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a £300 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting drug driving on October 20.

Warren Keers Gate, 31, of South Road, Hartlepool, received a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting obstructing a police officer in the course of their duty on March 5.

Callum Thomas Miller, 21, of Newbury Way, Billingham, was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a £300 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drug driving on August 7.

Steven William James, 46, of Warrior Drive, Hartlepool, was banned from driving for 36 months and ordered to pay a £120 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting two counts of drug driving on May 23.

Daniel Smith, 35, of Oak Grove, Hartlepool, received a six-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £150 after admitting causing criminal damage on March 26.

Matthew Davies, 34, of Grange Road, Hartlepool, was fined £175 after admitting one count of failing to comply with a suspended sentence by attending unpaid work appointments on two separate dates in 2017.

Michael Leslie Atkinson, 38, of Mulgrave Road, Hartlepool, was ordered to pay £56 compensation, a £95 victim surcharge and £200 costs after admitting two counts of fraud by falsely using another person’s bank card on July 12 and July 13.
